Position Description: Pacific Investment Management Company LLC (PIMCO) seeks a Senior Developer for its Newport Beach, CA location. Job ID 30076 Duties: Provide production support and monitor Automated Compliance Engine (ACE) for daily trade processing activities. Undertake Rule Automation including design, development and maintenance of rules and features. Design, develop and implement enhancement projects including Start of Day project (SOD) to improve stability, increase accuracy, and decrease complexity for optimal performance. Implement server architecture that processes trade compliance requests using multiple servers. Utilize C++ and Java to perform rule migration from ACE to Rev3. Utilize Python script in C shell to optimize trade replay tool and improve speed of trade completion. Analyze weekly Oracle SQL report using autotrace and explain plan functions to identify slow running SQL queries, and fine tune queries as needed. Identify production issues and implement performance improvement changes to improve trade processing. Prepare test cases to compare expected and actual results for all projects and tickets. Work with Quality Assurance (QA) team to execute test cases and validate test results. Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on questions raised by business users, and implement solutions on a timely basis. Position Requirements: Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field, and seven (7) years of post-baccalaureate, progressive experience in the position offered or related position. Full term of experience must be post-baccalaureate and progressively responsible, and must include: utilizing advanced C++ and Java to provide production and development support for Automatic Compliance Engine (ACE); developing complex multi-threaded applications using C# and .Net; working with data structures and algorithms to perform new server design; providing production support in Unix using Python; utilizing Oracle and SQL to conduct reports to identify slow running SQL queries, and fine-tuning queries as needed.
