Admissions Counselor for Diversity Recruitment

Posting Number: AS00601P Job Summary: The Admissions Counselor for Diversity Recruitment coordinates recruitment efforts for new students including first-time freshman and transfers. This position will serve as ETSU's primary representative in promoting the university to prospective students, their parents, school officials, and the general public. The Admissions Counselor will counsel students and their families about post-secondary options and recruit them to ETSU. The incumbent in this position conducts information sessions and plans and coordinates recruitment events targeted at minority, first-generation, low-income, and underrepresented populations. The Admissions Counselor works collaboratively with departments at ETSU who focus on meeting the needs of diverse student populations including the Multicultural Center, Language Cultural Resources Center, academic departments and colleges, and student services units. The Fair Labor Standards Act status of exempt or non-exempt will depend on the incumbent's entry salary for this position. All positions at East Tennessee State University are contingent upon sufficient funding.
