The Broadwell College of Business and Economics at Fayetteville State University seeks to hire an Assistant or Associate Professor faculty member for a 9-month, tenure-track position in Healthcare Management/Administration beginning Fall 2021. Selected candidate will exhibit a desire to teach at the undergraduate level but may also be required to teach graduate courses. Engagement in scholarly research is required. The selected candidate will help develop and expand an existing minor in Health Information Technology and Healthcare Administration program at the undergraduate and graduate level and enhance its visibility on campus and in the community. The successful candidate will become a member of the Healthcare Administration faculty that serve approximately 200 undergraduate healthcare majors. The successful candidate should be able to teach a variety of undergraduate healthcare courses. The successful candidate will conduct research, publish, write grants, advise students, and provide community engagement and professional service. Specific responsibilities will be dependent upon the individual selected, but the successful candidate will be expected to: • Teach classes in health policy, healthcare quality, health information technology/informatics, and related disciplines. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: •Doctoral degree in a Healthcare Administration or Health-related field from an AACSB accredited university. Training or work experience in health informatics or health information technology would be strongly desired
