Job Duties: The counselor's primary role is to provide academic counseling and instruction and student programming, and academic instruction via individual and group formats. The population served by the SDCC office includes all potential nursing majors and enrolled nursing students, both undergraduate and graduate, whether face-to-face or online. Psycho-educational programs and academic instruction will focus on improving the student's basic educational skills, academic success, career development and personal development to promote student retention and success.
