Lakeside School, an independent 5-12 coeducational day school located in North Seattle is currently recruiting for a Technical Theater teacher. This .75 FTE position is responsible for management of theaters on the upper and middle school campuses, and teaching two sections of Theater Production and Design at the Upper School. The ideal candidate will join a diverse team of colleagues that constantly reflects upon best practices and explores new ways to best serve students, families, and peers recognizing the different experiences people have with independent schools and theater arts. Each year approximately 250 students participate in drama classes, 5 major productions, playwriting workshops, and a variety of class performances. Candidates must demonstrate an understanding of safe theater operation during COVID and be able to lead the transition to a post-COVID environment. Review of candidates will begin on February 19th.
