Admission Representative, part time

Albright College, a liberal arts college in Reading, PA, is seeking energetic, knowledgeable and experienced admissions/recruitment professionals to serve in the role of Part Time Admission Representative for the

Office of Admission. The Admission Representative is responsible for recruitment outreach and application reading of traditional undergraduate students. The individual will develop and manage applicant engagement and cultivation activities for prospective students and families within an assigned geographic territory in order to meet stated recruitment goals.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Build and cultivate relationships with, and assist, prospective students and families throughout initial phases of the admission/recruitment process
2. Read and review application files for admission and make appropriate recommendations for admission decisions using stated criteria
3. Conduct interviews, appointments, and group information sessions for prospective students and their families
4. Conduct and maintain regular phone, email, direct mail, and other contact with prospective students, parents throughout admissions/application process
5. Develop in-depth knowledge about Albright College, the academic and extracurricular programs and articulate these messages to prospective students, families, guidance counselors and the community
6. Other duties as assigned

• Polished communication, both written and verbal.

• Demonstrated ability to interact with prospective students and their families, as well as employee groups within the college and external constituencies.
• Strong attention to detail and proven ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
• Strong initiative and ability to be flexible and appropriately address constituents needs

• • Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion

• Exemplary interpersonal skills with a focus on student service
• Ability to work collaboratively with others as a part of a team approach
• Effectively perform work responsibilities in an unsupervised, in a self-directed manner.

• • Ability to understand and access resources in order to coordinate complex projects and operations
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office platform and ease in using new technologies.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality with respect to files, correspondence, reports and other information.

• • Have a thorough and well-versed understanding of Albright College’s academic, athletic, and experiential offerings and curriculum.
  • Knowledgeable of or willingness to learn the admission and financial aid process and timelines
  • Experience with virtual platforms – Zooms, Microsoft Teams, video chatting, etc.

3. EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE
   • Minimum of 1-2 years of admission related experience necessary
