Vision Lead a department that gathers and delivers data and research products to sales professionals enabling CBRE to create an "unrivaled" research platform that differentiates our brandand delivers compelling value at the point-of-sale while creating superior outcomes for our clients. Goals Lead and motivate Field Research and Data Intelligence teams that capture, clean and curate the best available real estate data from in-house and external sources and actively help CBRE professionals grow market share. Effectively leverage our Digital & Technology (D&T) infrastructure, in partnership with Chief Data Officer, to deliver best-in-class data storage, retrieval and visualization systems. Build effective partnerships with our Thought Leadership function, both nationally and in local markets, to deliver best-in-class Research content within local markets. Key Responsibilities Drive world-class Field Research through leadership of local teams
Own US Data Intelligence vision, projects, tools, vendors and processes from inception to completion, partnering with D&T, Econometric Advisors (EA) and global Research to be the voice of data superiority in the US
Reports on key metrics around the health of the market and/our market share to National Leadership (Business as well as Research) and partner with them on key national pursuits and client engagement initiatives Partner with other parts of U.S. Research (Thought Leadership, Content & Editoral, Global Research, etc.) to evaluate opportunities to enhance value to the business and drive down costs Manage the planning, organization, and controls for a major functional area or department.
Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications MBA or equivelant preferred. BA/BS from a four-year college or university in economics, finance, business administration or related field of study required. Ten or more years private sector experience in data management. Preferably in commercial real estate. Proven management of multi-level and matrixed team critical. Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents/data. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees and top management to take desired action. Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Reviews complex financial/business analysis and reports prepared by subordinates. Passion for using data and data-backed content to drive superior business outcomes and decisions Familiarity with and interest in modern data science techniques and systems. Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company. Advanced knowledge of computer software and hardware. Develops and implements financial policies and procedures Approves and oversees department budget. Decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve complex results. Responsible for setting project, department and/or division deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause long-term impact to line of business and/or overall company.
