Santa Fe Preparatory School seeks a Middle/Upper School Visual Arts teacher who is eager to inspire students and join a professional, dynamic, and collaborative faculty. We are a diverse learning community dedicated to active inquiry and discourse. Authentic relationships, inclusive and creative pedagogy, and deep content are foundational to our purpose. Primary job responsibilities include teaching 4 sections of art classes (likely including Photography, Yearbook, and 3D-Studio). In addition, all full-time teachers lead a community service group, participate in grade-level retreats at the beginning of the year, advise a student club, actively contribute as a member of a grade-level team, and serve as advisor to 6-10 students per year. Beginning August 2021.

Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree is required. An MFA and teaching experience at the secondary or college level are preferred. Preferred candidates will also have an active art practice as well as experience guiding/mentoring students outside the classroom.
