Fort Worth Country Day seeks an enthusiastic professional who preferably has experience in both Independent School and Middle School education. Reporting to the Head of Middle School, this highly qualified and dynamic teacher will serve as the Middle School Pre-Algebra Teacher for the 2021 – 2022 school year. Curriculum: In pre-algebra, increased attention is given to developing an understanding of variables, expressions and equations. Computing with integers, fractions, decimals and percentages are also integral parts of the program. Statistics, probability and geometry are tied into chapters and units demonstrating the relationship between mathematical concepts. Students explore and make connections as they learn problem solving as well as decision-making strategies. As a result, students develop confidence in themselves and their ability to be successful in higher level math courses. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
