General Purpose: The Business Office and Financial Aid Peer Counselor is committed to providing top-quality customer service and support for all areas of SKYCTC. The student worker will support daily operations within all areas of the Business Office and Financial Aid departments. The applicant must have distinguished writing and grammar capabilities, proficient computer skills (i.e. typing, printing, scanning, e-mail, Microsoft Office, etc.), possess a strong work ethic, display reliability and punctuality, have a positive attitude and possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
A work schedule will be set according to the student's academic schedule and the needs of the office. The student worker must be flexible with hours between 10:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Professional dress is required. A maximum total of 20 hours is allowed per week.
Hourly wage: $10.00/hour.
Provide excellent customer service to visitors, faculty, staff, and students
Answer incoming calls and assist with walk in appointments
Relieve cashier for breaks, lunch, etc.
Verify student accounts for schedule changes
Perform general clerical support duties such as making copies, shredding, filing, etc.
Transition internal documents for permanent storage
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Must abide by FERPA confidentiality rules; have a completed FAFSA on file;be eligible for Federal Work Study; be enrolled in at least 6 (six) credit hours; and be making Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) as defined by Federal Financial Aid rules and regulations.
