Our Strategic Communications Manager plans, designs and executes the communications strategy, in alignment with overall enterprise goals, for Baylor Scott & White Supply Chain Services (SCS). The role:
defines, plans, develops and distributes all SCS communications that inform, education and influence constituents at all levels about Supply Chain projects, initiatives, and processes;
collaborates with leadership and cross-functional teams concerning the SCS communications strategy, while working with these stakeholders to drive the strategy with compelling messaging to engage users and business partners.
The role requires a highly effective change-communicatior with proven ability to successfully communicate enterprise-level initiatives to gain consensus and ensure adoption of new programs, as well as focus on promoting milestone achievements and align to the mission internally and externally.
The role will utilize appropriate tools and methodologies to facilitate communication, including regular messaging, meeting content, presentations, informative emails, newsletters, fact sheets, website content, and other communications vehicles for SCS initiatives. This role will work closely with project management, the training function, and SCS customer service to ensure a robust feedback loop and the creation of relevant, impactful communications.
Areas of Focus
Support and communicate a culture of continuous change, process improvement, and transformation
Create a measurement system to assess and drive continuous improvement and effectiveness of communications
Act as a primary advisor on internal and external messaging to ensure consistency, clarity, and delivery to appropriate audiences via the most appropriate medium
Provide guidance on effective communications to ensure consistency and accuracy
Develop and implement communication calendars/plans to support the mission, vision, and strategic roadmap
Establish internal communications best practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
Support SCS communications, internal training programs, department collaboration, and executive communication requirements
Oversee website content and strategy
This position reports to the Director of Project Management, Customer Service, Communications & Training and will also support the Vice President of Operations and the Chief Supply Chain Officer.

- EDUCATION - Bachelors Degree or Equivalent Experience
- EXPERIENCE - A minimum of 5 years experience required
- CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - Drivers License (TXDL): If moving from out of state must obtain valid TX DL within 90 days of hire.
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) in English, communications, or another relevant field
5+ years of experience in corporate communications, technical writing, or product marketing, including development of communication plans, strategies, messaging, and measurement
Excellent communication technology skills, including a variety of mediums, including print and digital
Demonstrated experience to successfully support transformation and change efforts that involve diverse stakeholder communities
Excellent execution against timelines
Attention to detail
Ability to effectively create and deliver communications in a fast-paced environment
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent leadership, analysis, and data gathering skills
