![]() HR EMPLOYMENT/CAREERS TITLE: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)/Counselor, Psychological Services JOB #: 20-020 (req234 & req244) CLOSE DATE: 11:59 PM on Thursday, 03/04/2021 CAMPUS: De Anza College and Foothill College DEPT: VP Student Services/AVP Student Services The Foothill-De Anza Community College District is currently accepting applications for the faculty position of Counselor/ Psychological Services and Personal Counseling, De Anza College and Foothill College (2 positions, 1 at each college). This temporary position (1-year assignment) is funded by the California Community College Mental Health Services Grant sponsored by the California Community College Chancellor's Office. The purpose of this grant is to enable districts/colleges receiving an award to establish or expand an existing California Community Colleges Mental Health Services Program. The Grant term is Summer 2020 through Fall 2021. The ideal candidate will share the Foothill-De Anza Community College District's commitment to educating its racially and socioeconomically diverse student population. Foothill College serves approximately 13,000 students per term, of which 29.7% are Asian, 27.3% LatinX, 25.5% White, 5.0% Filipino, 4.9% African American, 1.2% Pacific Islander, and 0.50% Native American as of Fall 2019. At Foothill, 68.6% of students are students of color and 29% apply for financial aid. De Anza College serves approximately 19,000 students per term, of which 40.9% are Asian, 27.4% LatinX, 17.4% White, 6.7% Filipino, 3.7% African American, .08% Pacific Islander, and .03% Native American, 3.7% Decline to state as of Fall 2019. At De Anza, 82.6% of students are students of color and 49% receive financial aid. JOB SUMMARY: Reporting to Dean of Student Development and EOPS at De Anza College or the Dean of Student Services at Foothill College, the Psychological Services Counselor will provide a full range of counseling and clinical services for De Anza and Foothill College's diverse student population. Specific duties include referral to campus and community resources to secure basic needs and to ensure continuity of therapeutic care; consultation with faculty, staff and administrators regarding mental health issues; develop strategies and activities that foster student wellness and campus safety. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION INCLUDE: Operating from a strong equity lens, the Psychological Services Counselor will:
Standard duties expected of all faculty include development and evaluation of curricula, maintaining scheduled office hours, attendance at department and division meetings, pursuing professional growth activities, and performing other duties consistent with the role of a faculty member. NOTE: The salary advertised with this position is based on the 2018-2019 salary schedule. Effective July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020, the position received an additional temporary 5% increase. On July 1, 2020 salaries reverted back to the 2018-2019 salary schedules.
