Associate Dean

POSITION SUMMARY:

A unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing School of Professional and Continuing Studies at Fordham.  The Associate Dean helps the Dean implement the strategic vision for PCS and ensures full compliance with University and PCS policies. The successful candidate will be charged with redesigning, implementing, and overseeing the entire student support function across PCS at all campuses, from students’ matriculation into their respective programs all the way through graduation.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Oversees the Academic Advising function including responsibility for personally advising incoming and continuing students
• Oversees and resolves student-related issues including disciplinary proceedings and other items that may involve close collaboration with other schools and departments (e.g., Title IX) at Fordham
• Liaise with the Associate Dean for Administration regarding day-to-day operations at Lincoln Center
• Represents PCS at events and on various School and University Committees as needed
• Directly supervises Assistant Deans and other administrative staff ensuring that they serve as the School's referral unit for students facing issues that require immediate attention (crises).
• Formulates and implements school policies, procedures, and protocols under the direction from the Dean
