DESCRIPTION

Under direct supervision, the Linen Service Worker is responsible for the distribution and storage of linen, scrubs andother related textiles for all departments. The duties include and are not limited to folding and consolidating clean linensand scrubs; maintaining distribution logs and recording of inventories into the system; stocking and removing of scrubs;maintaining linen room compliance standards; ensuring linen room is organized, neat and clean at all times; may assistwith lab coat distribution; and performing other related duties and tasks as assigned by Management. Job standards are tobe performed at the NOVICE level.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED; orcombination of education and relevantexperience.

• Must be able to read, write, understandand communicate orally in English.

• Must be able to write legibly and computebasic addition and subtraction.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience working inenvironmental service/linen department.
• General cleaning procedures in ahealthcare environment.
• Knowledge of acceptablepractices/procedures under Title 22 - Stateof California, Cleanliness of laundry.
• Entry level computer knowledge/skills.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

• Must be able to work various hours and locations basedon business needs.
• Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) asrequired.
