Upper School Chemistry Teacher

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

• A minimum of three years experience with teaching upper school chemistry courses, including Advanced Placement is preferred, but with consideration will be given to academic and work experience in lieu of classroom time.
• BA with major in sciences, BS, or BSE degree required; masters degree preferred.
• Ability and interest in teaching additional science or technology courses -- such as Physics or Computer Science -- required.
• Familiarity and experience with using student-centered pedagogies such as Modeling Instruction, Harkness, ISLE, and CIMM, among others, strongly preferred.
• Experience with technology integration strongly preferred.
• Experience teaching in a remote learning environment is a plus.
• Experience with S.T.E.A.M. curriculum and/or involvement with extracurricular S.T.E.A.M. activities is a plus.
• Ability to independently oversee chemical storeroom and monitor compliance with OSHA regulations required.
• A proven commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is required.
