Professional Job Family: Administrative Professional - Not OT Eligible Position Number: Position Details: Summary of Duties: This position will have responsibility to oversee, lead, and coordinate the academic advisement and program management for the Undergraduate and Masters in Teaching (MIT) Graduate programs offered in the College of Education, to include advising, and providing program management along with recruitment and retention efforts to prospective and current students. Responsibilities include student recruitment, analyzing student applications and transcripts, assessing academic level of students, responding to academic inquiries, developing individual academic plans, working with program coordinators to ensure the goals for the individual program committees are met, and communicating certification and degree requirements. Responsibilities also include oversight and management of the MIT program. This position will also provide proactive outreach and service to currently enrolled students to ensure retention goals are met and exceeded. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of full-time academic advising experience in a college or university or related experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional academic advising experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. Positions who will lead or supervisor will require one or more years of full-time experience leading or directing the work of others. Additional Requirements:
