Under the direction of the Associate Dean of Student Affairs, this position performs the leadership and operations functions for recruitment and associated event management for the College of Pharmacy (COP). Recruit Students: Promote the College of Pharmacy * Recruit and inform prospective students about the PharmD program through in-person (including site visits), online meetings, email, or telephone communication. * Assist in developing and implementing a recruitment and marketing plan, using policies and procedures that identify, recruit, and enroll a high quality and culturally diverse student body. * Utilize a variety of social media and communication methods to engage with prospective students and generate interest in enrolling in the COP. * Work with COP Instructional Technology Services and External Relations to enhance website to be utilized as a recruitment tool with streamlined content. * Visit with all Iowa high schools to share information regarding Assured Admissions program. * Create pipeline programs and/or articulation agreements with targeted undergraduate and community colleges. Student Transition Services * Represent the COP to external stakeholders, primarily prospective students, their families, and advisors as well as current students. * Plan and implement student outreach activities. * Utilize social media and current and emerging methods for communicating with stakeholders. * Co-lead the Student Health Professions Education Program (SHEP) each summer with the Associate Dean of Student Affairs. Budget Oversight and Management * Monitor a budget for recruitment and outreach focusing on the achievement of strategic enrollment goals. * Plan an annual budget. * Monitor financial reports and approve expenditures. Systems Support and Development, Data Analysis, Research and Reporting * Gather data and prepare routine reports and analysis related to student recruiting and other general office functions. Education Requirement * Bachelor's degree in marketing, education, communication, counseling or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience Required * Experience in admissions, recruitment, student services, sales, or marketing. * Adept using various social media outlets. * Record of extensive use of various modes of communication to relay concepts or procedures to people of diverse backgrounds. * History of structuring events efficiently and with attention to detail. * Use of web-based applications, video conference software, spreadsheets, and word processing. * Experience preparing and delivering informative, motivating, and persuasive presentations. A valid driver's license, plus the ability to meet and maintain compliance with the University Driving Policy. Desirable Qualifications * Previous experience in higher education. * Previous experience in recruitment of students.
