SSGA Portfolio Services are a team of operations professionals with broad experience who provide integration support and daily oversight for the SSGA core outsourced middle and back office functions along with oversight support for regulations as they pertain to Operations.

The teams functions include:

Provide guidance to the business to support compliance with internal policy and workflows as they relate to external regulations and Operational processes.
Act as a liaison between the Operations functions and Regulatory risk, Compliance, Legal, Audit and other business partners as appropriate to identify risk, control concerns and recommendations to ensure adherence in regards to current and future Operational processes and procedures as they relate to regulations.
Primary Oversight function for regulatory reporting.
Acting as a liaison for SSGA Investment teams and other SSGA functions, functioning as a central point of contact for operational inquiries on outsourced workflows.
Contributing to the SSGA change agenda through partnering with other teams on projects and new business analysis so as clear direction can be provided on the scope and operational requirements related to any new SSGA business initiative
Monitoring and reviewing critical metrics to ensure deliverables and service standards are met, building and maintaining Service Level Agreements with outsourced providers.
Contribute the timely and accurate regulatory reporting for the organization.
Support offshore production team with regulatory and operational, data and system queries relating to the reporting.
Assess regulatory reporting impacts for new products, liaise functional teams across the organization on transaction regulatory reporting matters
Act as the first line of defense for transaction regulatory reporting by managing controls and producing/reviewing oversight metrics

What you will be responsible for
As part of the role you will focus on the Portfolio Services Regulatory aspects of the functional support the team provides to the business, building knowledge in terms of the operational flows and systems and how these interplay to ensure SSGA Operations is compliant with current and evolving regulations in the future.
Education and Experience

Regulatory knowledge (regulations include MiFID II/EMIR/SFTR - knowledge of reporting requirements)
Thorough knowledge of a range of financial products (including; Bonds, Equities, FX, Derivatives.
Knowledge of and appetite for regulatory reporting matters
Operations experience gained from an investment manager, investment bank, hedge fund, prime broker or fund administrator.
Degree qualified with a financial or analytical discipline preferred.
Professional industry qualifications an advantage.
