The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation is seeking an Athletics Counselor to provide psychological services to assist student-athletes in attaining mental health and well-being. These services may include individual psychological evaluation and treatment, individual mental health counseling, case management, coordination of clinical referrals for care, crisis intervention and management, group counseling, and educational and outreach programming. All aspects of student-athlete identity, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, sex, gender identity, and sexual orientation, should be attended to and respected when providing mental health care. The department intends to hire for one position from either Athletics Counselor, requisition 21001050 or Athletics Social Worker, requisition 20004370, based on the qualifications of the successful candidate.
