Urban School of San Francisco, an independent high school with 420 students located in the heart of the historic Haight Ashbury neighborhood of San Francisco, is seeking a Dean of Faculty for the 2021-2022 school year. The Dean of Faculty mentors and supports teachers; partners with the Academic Dean and Department Chairs to support innovative pedagogy and curriculum; fosters exemplary teaching consonant with Urban’s critical priorities and core values; and manages the recruitment, hiring, evaluation, and professional development of the faculty. This position reports to the Head of School, is a member of the administrative team, and works closely with other administrators in the overall leadership and management of the school.
