Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program.
  • At least two years post-Master's social work practice experience.
  • Clinical Licensure or eligibility for clinical licensure in New Hampshire.
  • An understanding of generalist social work practice, a commitment to social justice, and a commitment to collaborative and collegial work.
  • Demonstrated teaching/training experience at the university level.
  • Evidence of ability to engage students in classroom learning and professional/community service.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or DSW in social work or related discipline.
  • Evidence of one or more specialty areas such as Mental Health, Substance Use Disorders, Case Management, and/or Generalist Practice with Individuals, Families, and Groups.
  • Willingness to engage with academic technology and online teaching and learning.
  • Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC)
  • Certification in Youth Mental Health First Aid
  • Grant management experience

    About the Opportunity:

    The Social Work Program at Plymouth State University invites applications for a full-time, non- tenure track clinical faculty position beginning August 2021. The CSWE-accredited BSW program (reaffirmed until 2023) seeks a dynamic colleague committed to teaching excellence, student development, and service. The program's mission is to prepare generalist practitioners with the ability to respect human diversity, use a strengths-based approach to practice, and promote social and economic justice. The program has minors in Child Welfare and Family Studies, Aging, and Welfare and Justice for Children and Youth. The program encourages creativity and initiative and provides a strong, supportive environment for growth and development. Clinical Faculty positions are full time, with benefits and the teaching load is 24 credits per year. The candidate will also be expected to advise undergraduate students and provide service to the university.
