The Role: The Colleague Support Advisor is a new role within M&G designed specifically to be the focal point of contact for colleagues to seek advice, support and guidance on a range of sensitive individual Human Resources matters and issues. The role will build strong relationships with the M&G Colleague Forum, the M&G Unite Section, the HR People Advisor Team, the Colleague (Diversity) Networks and the Diversity, Inclusion & Wellbeing Team. The role will also have the remit to build awareness and energy around the HR model and specifically the Colleague Advisory and Support service they will lead. They will also have a role in engaging with the wider HR function on relevant colleague advice and support topics and upskilling other HR colleagues where necessary. The role will report directly to the Group Head of Employee Relations. Don't think about this role as a traditional Employee Relations Case Advisor role. The purpose of this role is very much to support individual colleagues, to be a sounding board, to offer early support, advice and guidance which may negate the need for formal HR processes but critically to also provide support to colleagues where a formal process is appropriate.
