Assist with coaching duties for the Intercollegiate Women's Golf Team, operating under NCAA Bylaws. Assist Head Coach with all aspects of recruitment and training for athletic competition and monitors academic achievement of student players.
1. Assist in organizing, preparing, and conducting individual team practices, training, and competition. 2. Assist in the identification and recruitment of potential student-athletes for the Golf program, in accordance with NCAA rules, regulations, guidelines, and standards. 3. Monitor academic achievements and maintain close communication with athletic advisors. 4. Arrange travel plans for the program. 5. Maintain inventory of all equipment and clothing.
Bachelor's degree in related field with two (2) years of experience.
Substitution allowed for Experience: LPGA Tour or LPGA Certified Teacher, PGA Class A member, may be allowed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Knowledge of certain fundamental concepts. 2. Ability to work long and irregular hours. 3. Ability to travel extensively. 4. Ability to work in extreme weather temperatures.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Regularly involves lifting, bending or other physical exertion. Often exposed to one or more elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc., with one often to the point of being objectionable. Injuries may require professional treatment. Frequent - Externally imposed deadlines; set and revised beyond one's control; interruptions influence priorities; difficult to anticipate nature or volume of work with certainty beyond a few days; meeting of deadlines and coordination of unrelated activities are key to position; involves conflict-resolution or similar interactions involving emotional issues or stress on a regular basis. Job occasionally requires walking, sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, handling objects with hands. Job occasionally requires standing, stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling, and lifting up to 150 pounds. Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
