Upper School History Faculty (Seattle, WA) Full Time (1.0 FTE) Academic Year Schedule (July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022) Compensation based on experience * This position is eligible for health and retirement benefits (details during hiring process). * This position requires applicants to be, at the time of application, legally authorized to work in the United States. The Bush School is in search of an individual to join our Upper School team as an Upper School History Faculty member. We are seeking a candidate who will support the school’s mission of diversity and inclusion and who has a background that demonstrates an understanding and appreciation of intercultural fluency. The Upper School History Faculty member reports to the Upper School Director and works closely with students and families, as well as Upper School Faculty and Staff and History Department. This position will be responsible for teaching four sections of history (inclusive of 9th grade Historical Inquiry and upper division electives) per term, in addition to leading two Cascades (winter and spring) and managing one Advisory group for the Academic Year. While other duties may be assigned, a qualified candidate will be able to manage the key responsibilities and tasks listed below:
