We are working with a well a well-established and highly regarded private equity and growth capital investor. It invests in businesses across the UK in a variety of sectors. It is looking for someone with an aptitude for private equity or growth capital investing in the UK mid-market, and the ability to start to lead relationships with C-Suite individuals with minimal supervision. The primary role of the DO team is to generate attractive deal flow for the Private Equity team and ensure they are seeing as many of the opportunities in the market as possible
Assist the existing Private Equity DO team in identifying targets companies
Make initial contact with the identified companies, and eventually take responsibility for the initial conversations to qualify targets
Conducting specific searches for funds where a strategic need has been identified
Undertake research and analysis on other potential sources of deals for the Private Equity team, such as NED networks, angel groups, co-investors, advisors, early stage investors, and debt funds.
A knowledge of private equity either from internship experience within a firm or advisory experience with exposure to PE clients. This could be within transactions, investor relations or recruitment.
An affinity to the UK lower mid-market
Excellent communication skills and professional manner to engage with C-Suite individuals.
Good commercial acumen, with the ability to quickly understand business models and market dynamics
Ability to multi-task, manage changing priorities and tight deadlines
