General Statement of Duties The Enrollment Specialist is a grant-funded position that serves an integral role in the provision of services in the MWCC Enrollment Management Team. This position requires extensive outreach to adult learners from Winchendon from point of recruitment to enrollment including: Adult College Experience (ACE) recruitment presentations; recruitment travel within and beyond the MWCC service delivery area; application and credential data entry and evaluation; campus-based interviews;; initial course registration; and off-campus recruitment outreach to prospective dual language students. Duties may be performed throughout the year or during specific times of the year, depending on the student lifecycle and peak enrollment periods. Regularly established working hours are 1:00pm - 6:00pm Monday, Wednesday and 10:00am - 3:00pm Thursday, beginning February 15, 2021 and running through September 30, 2021. Responsibilities - Assist adult students from Winchendon in all phases of the enrollment life cycle from point of inquiry through initial dual language course registration, by providing academic advising services to students in person and via college resources such as phone, email, text, and video chat, consistent with availability as established in consultation with the Dean of Enrollment Management and Admissions.
- Plan and facilitate individual and large group presentations to support recruitment initiatives that include MWCC Admission, program of study and financial aid process overview, a discussion of upcoming events at MWCC and an overview of the steps in the enrollment process;
- Review available student transcripts and potential transfer credits, and advise students on academic plans, course selection, and curriculum;
- Register students into appropriate initial academic coursework, to include registration activities;
- Serve as point of contact for prospective adult students from Winchendon.
- Assist with the planning and implementation of on- and off-campus recruitment activities for prospective students and their families. Examples of such activities include: Program Specific Events, Info Sessions and other events as they are developed;
- Work collaboratively with college to link adult students to other college offices including: Advising Center, Academic Affairs, Veteran Services, Financial Aid, Career Services and VISIONS.
- Advise & register new and readmit students for courses throughout open registration time periods in accordance with their chosen academic major;
- Utilize MWCC's Salesforce/TargetX CRM for recruitment purposes
- Actively participate in various enrollment and career alignment events, including open houses, enrollment events, program orientations, and commencement.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications - Master's degree in Business Management, Marketing, Public Relations, Education, Counseling, Psychology, or closely related field;
- Two (2) years experience and/or training that includes marketing, public relations, college admissions, credit evaluation, and academic counseling/advisement; or
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience;
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and have access to reliable transportation.
