Location: SCSU Main Campus, 720 Fourth Avenue South, St. Cloud MN 56301 Full/Part Time: Full Time Employment Condition: Probationary Job Description: The Director is responsible for providing visionary leadership in the administration and operational management of the Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) for a campus of 17,000 students. CAPS provides personal counseling for all undergraduate and graduate students as well as, consulting services and outreach programs for all students, faculty and staff at the University. The Department is fully accredited by the International Association of Counseling Services. Provide leadership in the overall management and administration of the Counseling and Psychological Services. The department consists of a mix of masters and doctoral level counselors and social workers and one to four interns.
Assist in providing University leadership in the Behavioral Intervention Team, crisis intervention situations and student emergencies. Serve as a resource and consultant and liaison to the campus community. Develop and present to various units/departments and campus-wide presentations on relevant topics. Serve as a resource, consultant and liaison to the campus community. Participate in professional development activities and create opportunities for individuals in the department to continue their professional development. Provide leadership and service for the Division of Student Life and Development and University initiatives. Attend university and division events, representing the department and division. Serve on university and division committees, taskforces, and working groups. Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of the department and maintain the reputation of the organization as a viable business partner. Required Qualifications:
