Job Summary Denver Health is currently recruiting an outpatient Family Medicine physician to join our team at Lowry Family Practice. Our Patient Centered Medical Home consists of a group of physicians, advanced practice providers and residents working in a team based care model , with MAs, nurses, social workers, patient navigators, integrated behavioral health and addiction counselors. Family Medicine physicians offer expert medical care to adults and children regardless of age or sex. They evaluate, treat, and help prevent illnesses and injuries that occur regularly in the general population. They may refer patients to specialists when needed for further diagnosis or treatment. Family Medicine physicians work at various clinics and locations across Denver Health. Responsibilities 1. Admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation to patients of all ages with acute and chronic illnesses, including major and complicated, and perform procedures learned in training. 2. Provide preventative and therapeutic care for patients of all ages. This includes preventative care, acute care, prenatal care, care of injured persons, management of chronic illnesses, and performance of procedures learned in training. 3. Possible supervision of residents providing care for patients of all ages in ambulatory settings. 4. Performs privileged procedures as outlined in the Denver Health and Hospital Authority Department of Family Medicine Clinical Privileges documentation. 5. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 1. Has adequate knowledge and skill of all privileged procedures as outlined in the Denver Health and Hospital Authority Department of Family Medicine Clinical Privileges documentation. Education * Doctorate Degree (Required) 1. Medical license to practice in State of Colorado. 2. Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine. Credentials * Physician (Required) MD or DO.
