Job Summary
Denver Health is currently recruiting a Family Medicine Physician -Medical Director (Team Leader) to lead the staff and operations at our Park Hill Family Health Center, located in North East Denver. This Patient Centered Medical Home consists of a group of physicians and advanced Practice providers, working in a team based care model, with MA, Nurses, social workers, patient navigators, integrated behavioral health and addiction counselors. The Medical Director should have a minimum of three years of practice experience. Experience in a medical director or other leadership role is preferred but not required. The Medical Director will be responsible for managing the staff and operations of a clinic at Denver Health. Providers at Park Hill provide the full scope of ambulatory Family Medicine services, including primary care of all ages including prenatal care and family planning services, management of chronic diseases. Opportunities to work providing inpatient care are available, although not required.
Responsibilities
1. Admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation to patients of all ages with acute and chronic illnesses, including major and complicated, and perform procedures learned in training.2. Provide preventative and therapeutic care for patients of all ages. This includes admit patients, preventative care, acute care, prenatal care, care of injured persons, management of chronic illnesses, and performance of procedures learned in training.3. Supervise house staff in providing care for patients of all ages in ambulatory and inpatient settings.4. Performs privileged procedures as outlined in the Denver Health and Hospital Authority Department of Family Medicine Clinical Privileges documentation.5. Responsible for management of staff and the operations of a clinic at Denver Health.6. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

1. Has adequate knowledge and skill of all privileged procedures as outlined in the Denver Health and Hospital Authority Department of Family Medicine Clinical Privileges documentation. 2. Knowledge and interest in multi-disciplinary ambulatory care, ability to work in teams and motivate physicians and other providers to improve quality, patient experience and operational efficiency. 3. Communicate effectively with a wide variety of staff as well as administration. 4. Possess critical thinking, analytical and teaching/coaching skills. 5. Able to effectively manage and direct medical staff while providing quality medical care6. Able to analyze, interpret and act upon relevant clinical and financial data that pertain to the practice. 7. Able to receive detailed information through oral communications; express or exchange ideas by verbal communications. 8. Excellent written and verbal communications, listening, and social skills. 9. Able to interact effectively with people of varied educational, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds, skill levels and value systems. 10. Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships. 11. Ability to accept and implement change. 12. Demonstrated history of positive collegial relations with colleagues, support staff, providers, administrators and patients.
Education/ Credentials
* Doctorate Degree (Required) 1. Medical Doctor or Doctor of Medicine2. Successful completion of an American Board of Family Medicine or American Osteopathic Board of Family Medicine approved post-graduate training program in Family Medicine, or successful completion of a Family Medicine Residency program approved by another equivalent organization (e.g. International) or deemed appropriate by the Director of Family Medicine.3. Board Certification in Family Medicine through the American Board of Family Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Practice within 3 years of graduation from an approved post-graduate training program in Family Medicine as defined above, or current certification in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Practice. (Physicians who have been previously certified must be currently certified and maintain certification.) 4. 3 years of outpatient clinic experience with demonstrated leadership qualities and evidence of leading initiatives at the clinic or division level, or oversight of advanced practice providers. Eligible for appointment or promotion to Assistant professor in their department. 5. Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
