POSITION

Wellington is looking an experienced DEI senior manager to join our team Global Diversity, Equity & Inclusion team. Reporting to the global director of diversity, equity and inclusion, this person will serve as the leader for DEI by monitoring external social trends, exploring innovative strategies, conducting benchmark studies and driving actions that support Wellington's DEI strategy and goals. Key responsibilities include working globally and collaborating with leaders across the firm to build and execute business-driven programs, processes and initiatives, integrating DEI as an important element of the firm's culture, mission, and operations. This leader will implement and deliver organization DEI efforts, and help shape an inclusive culture where everyone can grow and thrive. We are looking for a candidate with a breadth of experience and deep understanding of diversity and inclusion strategies and social justice change initiatives. The ideal candidate will excel in achieving results and consensus through consulting with business leaders and influence versus authority. This position collaborates with regional and functional business leaders and managers and other key stakeholders to advance our diversity and equity initiatives, and overall inclusion strategy. This role will manage a senior DEI program analyst. Candidates may be located in US/Boston, Chicago, San Francisco or UK/London.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Contribute to the development of Wellington's DEI strategy, which includes advising the firm toward realistic and aspirational goals for increasing representation, measure and monitor progress a long side business leaders.
  • Collaborate with DEI Analyst and HR Advisors to facilitate cross network ERG group activities, including regular meetings, cultural events, mentoring circles and development programs, or recognition receptions.
  • Partner with external DEI organizations in the development of strategic and tactical programming objectives to
  • advance DEI and social justice within the industry and communities where we live and work.
  • Work with Analytics & People Operations teams to establish baseline metrics and automated dashboards to
  • keep DEI data top of mind for designed functional/regional business areas.
  • Serve as a point of contact on related industry benchmark data, surveys, RFPs/RFIs, and various DEI data reporting or related inquiries.
  • Identify and research DEI related workshops and facilitators including unconscious bias, cultural agility, equity across a broad range of under-represented groups, and deep dive session provocative topics of race, disability, colorism, privilege and sexual orientation and gender identity.
  • Work with the firm's Marketing team to coordinate communication of the firm's diversity activities and initiatives on the firm's website and intranet; support the development of presentations, materials, and other projects.
  • Manage and develop our DEI Analyst, as well as any other interns or business associates who may rotate into the team;
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree required with 10+ years of DEI and/or related social justice and non-profit work experience.
  • Advanced degree or related certification(s) preferred.
  • Professional services, engineering, financial services, biotechnology and other commercial industry experience will be an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with people at all levels.
  • Ability to bring the right balance of confidence, authentic voice with tact and persistence to establish credibility
  • with talent at all levels and backgrounds across the firm.
  • Strong collaboration and team orientation. Previous staff management experience is a plus.
  • Ability to conduct a DEI root cause analysis, identify and solve problems, work independently, and take initiative
  • Excellent attention to detail. Ability to compile, review and determine logical conclusions or recommendations based on data and information which is varied in content and format.
  • Experience serving as a thought leader internally and externally, sharing and developing best practices and resources.
  • A strong understanding of data and the ability to run relevant analyses as needed. You are comfortable leveraging data to guide and drive decision making.
  • High emotional intelligence and the ability to be emphatic to the needs of a wide range of employees while maintaining confidentiality and managing risk to the firm.
  • Demonstrated experience working through roadblocks to leverage creative solutions; have a record of success in exerting influence to drive results.
  • Prioritizes, organization, and multitasks for efficient and effective work production.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) required. WebEx, MS Teams, SharePoint are a plus.
