Operating Director - Private Equity Portfolio Team

Description

We are currently seeking a strategy consultant, from a market leading firm in London, to join as an Operating Director with a remit to work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer on a broad range of cross portfolio initiatives.  These may include performance analysis, quarterly valuation reports, co-ordinating portfolio reviews and managing advisor relationships. The role may include becoming involved in the later stages of the deal process and then working in close partnership with management in the early months of the deal and assisting with strategic and operational matters in a collegial style.

Skills

You should be a highly ambitious individual with a first class academic background and a strong track record of success to date. Fascinated by how businesses grow and develop you must have well developed Board level communication skills and be highly financially literate. Candidates will most likely have spent time their time in strategy consulting working on a wide variety of sectors and have had some knowledge gained working with both private equity funds and private equity investments. The is very much a development role and we are looking for people capable of stepping up into this role. It is not a Partner level appointment and will ideally suit strategy consultants looking to make their first move into private equity at a more experienced entry level.
