As a global leader in providing technical advice on transportation infrastructure projects and transactions, we are looking for experienced consultants to lead and direct project teams serving both private and public sectors and drive the expansion of our business in the Pacific Northwest.
We are interested in experienced candidates specializing in one or more of the following area(s) and with interest, experience and client connections in the others:
The development and sponsorship of major transportation projects and programs;
Demand and revenue forecasting;
Financial analysis, commercial and transaction advice; and
Economic appraisal of infrastructure projects.
Ideal candidates will have 10+ years of relevant experience that demonstrates an ability to secure and maintain excellent client relationships and deliver objective and highly valued support to our clients. Candidates that best fit this position will have assessed and shaped complex infrastructure projects through working as a consultant or at a transportation infrastructure developer/owner/operator.
Candidates will be required to:
Grow our client base in the Pacific Northwest through work winning and revenue generation;
Lead teams in delivering successful proposals and projects to time, cost, risk management, and product quality;
Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business to provide high-quality and differentiated services to our clients;
Work closely with senior-level colleagues to deliver against company financial and behavioral targets;
Supervise and mentor more junior colleagues across Steer.
Ideal candidates will have demonstratable experience in many of the points below:
Senior position at either decision-making level or advising senior client decision-makers in the transportation sector, through consultancy, infrastructure advisory, and/or public sector;
A developed network of client contacts and track record of developing winning proposals;
Proactivity in identifying client needs and cultivating relationships to develop business;
Ability to manage a portfolio of projects including teams comprising multiple capabilities;
Ability to set technical direction and review or challenge model / analytical outputs;
Excellent oral and written communication skills, both internally and externally;
An interest in providing professional development or mentorship to colleagues;
Ability to lead geographically dispersed team across multiple Steer offices;
A willingness to learn new things and adapt relevant experience from outside of North America as part of a differentiated offer;
An existing right to work in Canada and ideally the United States; and
Proficiency in languages of countries where Steer conducts business (especially Spanish or French), would be advantageous but are not required.
