The Graduate School has an outstanding opportunity for Director of Graduate Enrollment Management Services. The Director of Graduate Enrollment Management Services (GEMS) at the UW leads a staff of 7 full-time professional staff members who provide counseling and advising services, manages key administrative processes, and oversees essential technology systems supporting applicants, students, faculty, staff, and departmental advisors in more than 350 active degree programs on all three UW campuses. The GEMS Director serves as a member of the leadership team and represents the interests of the Graduate School and graduate programs on University committees and task groups addressing admissions and graduation policies, practices, services, and systems supporting graduate education at UW. The GEMS director guides the Graduate School’s vision and strategy for graduate enrollment and admissions policies and will ensure that the University of Washington is represented as a leader in the national community of enrollment professionals. The Director reports to the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs. RESPONSIBILITIES: Staff Supervision Partnerships with Graduate Programs and Graduate Students Cross-Campus Collaborations Serve as the Graduate School liaison on university-wide committees and meetings regarding graduate student enrollment management and administrative support systems. Supervisory Responsibilities; This position supervises 7 FTE professional staff and one student assistant. REQUIREMENTS: Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
