Job Description: The Assistant Director provides culturally-competent mental health services for university students. The position also provides management of CAPS staff and leadership within CAPS and to the campus community. The Assistant Director must work exceptionally well with students identifying as black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC), LGBTQ students, international students, and other under-represented students and communities on campus; and have a sophisticated understanding of how intersectionality, privilege, and socioeconomic status relate to the mental health of a global student community. This position has unique responsibilities that include collaboration with the Graduate School, and transformative practices efforts focused on students and partner offices including Institutional Equity and Diversity (OIED), Title IX, and The College.
