Supports Laspau Scholarship and Operations Areas to support students, issue documents, and maintain data. Travel within the United States and abroad may be required. Performs other related duties as required.

  1. Execute Batch processes, such as document review, applications, and immigration document processes
  2. Support Scholarship and Operations Area in maintaining and updating data in Salesforce, such as processing spring arrival forms, updating Academic Advisor information, and processing requests such as work authorization and dependent documents.
  3. Support Placement Area by running congrats processes to issue immigration documents for spring arrivals, and off-cycle arrivals thereafter.
  4. Support Advising Area with operations updates, such as changes in funding, changes in travel plans, and dependent DS-2019 issuance.
  5. Research and communicate with universities to update data regarding program formats for the spring semester.
  6. Help to electronically process incoming mail and email.
  7. Send debit cards, immigration forms, and other documents to grantees.
  8. Assist with reporting related to COVID-19, natural disasters, and other challenges where mass grantee data needs to be collected.
  9. Perform other related duties as required.


PLEASE NOTE: During the current period of Covid-19 related restrictions, this position may start as a remote position, with the transition to onsite in Cambridge when the office reopens.

Candidates MUST meet the following basic qualifications in order to be considered for this role:

High school with some general business training beyond high school. Two to three years of related work experience preferred. Education beyond high school may count toward experience.


  1. Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
  2. Excellent organizational and written communication skills.
  3. Familiarity with U.S. university graduate education and the J-1 Exchange Visitor Program and experience with Latin America and international students preferred.
  4. Salesforce experience preferred.
  5. Fluency in Spanish (spoken & written) preferred.
  6. Knowledge of U.S. higher education institutions, and previous work with sponsoring agencies highly desirable.
