Requisition Number: S_200592 Department: College of Arts & Sciences-0906 Description of Work: Responsible for implementing recruitment strategies within assigned areas designated by the College of Arts and Sciences Director of Recruitment. Extensive involvement with recruitment events, both on-campus and off-campus through personal interactions, small and large group presentations; as well as daily interaction with prospective students and families, current students, faculty and staff. Coordinate and facilitate the daily Husker Weekday visit program. Provide leadership to the undergraduate student ambassador team. Serve as a liaison to departments and programs and their specific recruitment efforts, including outreach to middle and high schools students. Act as the point person for students in the Nebraska Now program as their assigned advisor. Initiate and maintain positive relationships with personnel involved in the student recruitment process across the College and UNL campus, including but not limited to: A&S Academic and Career Advising Center, Exploratory and Pre-Professional Advising Center, and UNL Admissions. Work with the Director of Recruitment to analyze data and develop and initiate strategies for recruitment and outreach. Position requires understanding and sensitivity regarding diverse student populations; and a high level of communication, professionalism, and commitment to teamwork. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience with large and small group presentations necessary. Demonstrated ability to organize and work independently. Ability to relate to people of all age groups, academic abilities and cultures necessary. Ability to provide leadership to student volunteers required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with admissions, higher education, recruitment or sales preferred. Background in liberal arts helpful. Posted Salary: $35,000 minimum Job Type: Full-Time
