To coordinate and implement a robust visit schedule at community colleges, military affiliated events, businesses, and not-for-profits organizations. Represent the university at transfer fairs and open houses. Respond to transfer and adult students' inquiries via email, phone, mail, etc. To build and foster collaborations with external entities such as feeder institutions as well as within the University. To collaborate with the Office of the Associate Provost to internally update and communicate Articulations and Transfer Pathways to transfer and nontraditional students. Required Qualifications:: -Master's degree. -at least five years of experience in Higher Education with either Transfer/Nontraditional Student or Recruitment. -Experience in supervision and coordination. -Excellent computer skills developing presentations, preparing reports, surveys and designing online orientations. -Demonstrated track record of collaboration with academic affairs. -Experience working with a diverse population of Transfer and Nontraditional college students. -Ability to develop partnerships wand collaboration with internal and external constituencies. Preferred Qualifications:: -5 years or more of Higher Education experience to include different colleges/universities and/or community colleges. -Experience connecting with prospective students using social media. Essential Functions and percent of time:: Recruitment – 60%
Explain the application process, transfer policies, admission requirements, transfer scholarships, etc. to prospective transfer and adult students. Plan adequate on-site visitations to area community colleges, military installations, businesses, not-for-profits, and other organizations in order to actively recruit prospective transfer and nontraditional students. Manage an undergraduate transfer visitation calendar; publish and share the calendar widely. Answer queries via email, phone, etc. from prospective students and transfer colleagues. Communicate regularly with prospective students to assist in moving them through the admissions process to course enrollment. Assist in developing and implementing a comprehensive communication plan for transfer students who have started the application process. Programming and Collaboration – 10% Collaborate with Undergraduate Recruitment, colleges, and departments on their recruitment efforts. Assist with various on-campus recruitment events, such as Raider Open House, to attract interested transfer and nontraditional students. Assist with the implementation of the Transfer Transition and Orientation Programs. Maintain database of contacts and advisors at feeder institutions. Recommend new initiatives to enhance transfer and nontraditional student recruitment based upon data and student satisfaction assessments. Recruitment Coordination – 15% Coordinate the recruitment efforts of the Transfer Recruitment staff including travel, feeder institution visits, staff territory assignment and supervision. Ensure staff have updated information regarding current Transfer and Nontraditional best practices, transfer policies and procedures as well as Articulation Agreements and Transfer Pathways. n collaboration with the director, coordinate training for new staff and provide ongoing training opportunities for Enrollment Management staff. Develop and foster high level relationships with feeder institutions. With the Director, regularly evaluate the relationships to explore enhancements for outreach, recruitment, visits, and communication to feeder institution students and academic advisers. Assist with the creation of effective and engaging marketing and recruitment materials and ensure that all print and online materials are accurate. Track the efficacy of recruitment efforts. Work with campus partners such as the Veterans and Military Center, academic colleges, etc. to ensure a recruitment presence when appropriate at population specific events. Manage the |
