High School Sessions programs provide opportunities for talented and motivated high school students to learn more about a subject area of their interest. The dynamic programs offer learning opportunities for high school students to hear from Georgetown faculty and Washington decision-makers and experts, and gain hands-on learning experience through classroom activities and unique educational off-site visits.
Summer Sessions comprises over 1200 undergraduate, graduate, and visiting domestic and international students. Georgetown Summer Sessions offers over 250 courses in a diverse range of subjects. Students are able to explore new interests or get ahead in their studies. They can spend the summer living and learning in Washington, D.C., on Georgetown's historic hilltop campus or studying online from just about anywhere in the world.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The temporary PSSA is responsible for providing high-level customer service to parents, prospective students, and current students on a daily basis, by acting as a central point of contact for these stakeholders. The temporary PSSA will take the lead on resolving student and parent issues related to:
The admissions and application process
Course selection and registration, payment
student participation forms
GOCard application process
Co-curricular social and academic programming.
While students are on campus, the temporary PSSA also serves as a liaison between SCS program staff by tracking and reporting student issues, and maintaining familiarity with student emergency protocols.
High School diploma or equivalent as well as knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Documents and Sheets, common social media platforms, Microsoft Excel.
1 year of customer service experience.Excellent interpersonal, crisis management, organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals, and community development skills.
Strong attention to detail and excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills.
work collaboratively and effectively with partner offices, parents, and students.
2+ years of customer service experience as well as knowledge of TargetX, and Destiny
The ability to have difficult conversations, able to pivot quickly between tasks, experience, or interest in admissions or summer programs, a quick learner, a good sense of humor, a team player.
