Summary Description: Assistant Professor of Medicine at CUIMC Columbia University Medical Center, Department of Medicine is seeking a Clinical Geneticist at the level of Assistant Professor (non-tenure track) to expand our growing program at the Center for Medical Genetics and Genomics (CMGG). CMGG aims to improve clinical care for adult constitutional disorders by introducing clinical genetics to internal medicine practice and determine the indications for sequencing within each discipline in internal medicine. The candidate will be closely working with physician champions in each subspecialty of internal medicine and a multidisciplinary team of physicians, genetic counselors, and other health professionals across multiple divisions of the department of Medicine, including Nephrology, Cardiology, Pulmonary, Hematology, Infection Diseases and Endocrinology among others. The candidate should have a strong track record of ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment. Responsibilities will include leading an undiagnosed disease program for adult constitutional disorders in Internal medicine, providing comprehensive diagnostic, management, therapeutic, and counseling services, teaching of house staff (residents and fellows) and medical students, and active participation in CMGG activities. There are many clinical and translational research opportunities available, including participation in national projects such as the “All of Us” program.
