The Department of Educational Leadership and Counselor Education at Eastern Kentucky University is offering a 9-month tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant/Associate level. The Department offers two master’s degrees in counselor education, the M.A.Ed. in School Counseling and the M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Both master’s degree programs are CACREP accredited. In the fall of 2014, the department launched an EdD with a concentration in Counselor Education and Supervision which recently received CACREP accreditation. The EKU counseling program is comprised of highly qualified and motivated collegial faculty dedicated to meeting the goal of excellence for their students and programs.
An earned doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from a CACREP-accredited program with an emphasis in school counseling, or evidence of full-time teaching for a Counselor Education program for a minimum of one full academic year prior to July 1, 2013. Applicants should be eligible for certification as school counselors in Kentucky or have held equivalent certification in another state.
