DESCRIPTIONAs a seasoned clinical applications training professional, applies skills to projects of medium size at all levels of complexity, or portions of large projects. Involved in the design, building, testing, and implementation of clinical application systems. Provides support to clinical users through knowledge of clinical processes, documentation needs, workflows, and clinical practice standards, when adapting software to meet their needs. Works with clinicians to create or adapt written protocols. Prepares detailed specs encompassing clinical processes, information flow, risk and impact analysis. May provide customer service, troubleshooting, and maintenance. The incumbent will provide user training and quality assurance for Epic ambulatory and patient portal applications including: EpicCare Ambulatory, MyChart and clinical application reporting during Community Connect implementations and after go-live. The incumbent will create and update all relevant curriculum as well as contribute to quality assurance plans for said application(s). The incumbent will work closely with the end users to identify user experience and workflow quality improvement opportunities and assist in the optimization of ambulatory and MyChart workflow design based on user feedback by coordinating with various application analysts to effectively improve the EMR system over time. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSSeven (7) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's Degree in related area plus three (3) years of related experience/training (relevant experience in end user training of Epic Ambulatory, MyChart and clinical reporting applications). Required to be certified in an assigned EMR vendor's product/module within the first six months of employment. Must satisfy all vendor testing requirements to be certified without needing to attend vendor's training a second time for the same class. Experience and proven success in information systems implementation, development and support within a large-scale healthcare organization. Demonstrate ability to provide expert consultative guidance and direction on change initiatives affecting clinical care processes. Demonstrate ability in workflow and data analysis and design techniques, including needs assessment, specification development, quantitative methods, project planning and gap analysis. Ability to effectively utilize system tools to meet functionality needs of users. Ability to plan and organize day-to-day activities along with short and long-term projects; in-depth knowledge of organizational and project planning processes and ability to produce and maintain high quality planning documents. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Dedicated team player with strong interpersonal skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Epic certified in any of these applications: EpicCare Ambulatory and MyChart or EpicCare Ambulatory and Cogito Reporting.
- Epic certified as a Principal Trainer in Training, Environments and Documentation, Training Environment Build.
- Familiar with Epic Community Connect end user training methodology.
- Experience in EMR workflow quality improvement and assurance.
- Experience in leading EMR end user experience improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrate ability to collaborate with customers and team.
