DESCRIPTIONThe University of California, San Diego Health System seeks an individual with advanced knowledge in Windows, Apple, Mobile and Printing device systems administration. The successful applicant will have a background in the installation, deployment, administration, security and maintenance of Windows, Apple, Mobile, Thin Client and Peripheral devices in large enterprise (10,000+ device) environment. The incumbent will have demonstrated experience writing and editing complex scripts, namely powershell and bash, used to perform system maintenance and administration. The candidate will show advanced knowledge of computer security best practices and polices including demonstrated experience securing management servers and workstations. In conjunction with the enterprise systems teams, the incumbent provides system analysis, maintenance, and monitoring of systems and servers including installations, upgrades, patches, as well as documentation with primary responsibility for the implementation, management, support and maintenance of various system software products and hardware components that comprise enterprise computing infrastructure. Manages and supports the systems/hardware infrastructure and associated resources. Provides 7/24 problem management support and resolution for all applications and operating systems as part of the on-call rotation. Incumbent will have advanced knowledge with a variety of software tools, including those related to support and implementation. Incumbents provide consultation and knowledge transfer with respect to system administration techniques and software components. The incumbent will have a good background in technical writing, documentation, and project management. Advanced knowledge and experience engineering and administering systems in the following areas is preferred: Windows Server, Windows 7/10 Enterprise, Mac OS, iOS, Android, Citrix, Active Directory Group Policy, and peripheral device management such as Printers, scanner and Embedded OS devices. Hardware knowledge of the following system types is preferred: Dell, HP, Microsoft, Apple Enterprise class computing hardware. Support knowledge and experience with Networking protocols and Cloud Computing technologies such as Azure and Office 365 administration. Assists with the management, support, and oversight of the Health Systems' Device Management platforms including System Center Suite (SCCM, Orchestrator), WSUS, JAMF (Casper), Airwatch, Intune, Absolute, Imprivata (Tap In/Out), Print Servers, and other device management systems as required. Incumbent assists with managing, maintaining, monitoring and securing (including data security) of all Health System workstations including installations, upgrades, patches and documentation including an annual review of all systems. Collaborates with other Health System and Campus based teams as needed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
