The University of Saint Joseph invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor to join the Department of Counseling and Applied Behavioral Studies as a member of the core faculty. This full-time position has been initially approved for one academic year. The successful candidate will teach in our CACREP accredited Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling programs. The position will begin in mid-August 2021. Candidates with appropriate academic credentials, clinical experience, possess a strong work ethic, and typically engage others in a caring manner are invited to apply.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) teaching, advising students, and participating in service for the department.
An earned Doctoral Degree in Counselor Education preferably from a CACREP accredited program by the starting date
Clinical and teaching experience germane to the position,
Commitment to an outcome-oriented curriculum designed to prepare students for competent counseling practice.
Cultural competency to work with diverse student and/or employee population
Commitment to the mission of the University of Saint Joseph
Physical ability to perform essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
