1. Assists the director in providing oversight for clinical service components to include reporting, attending meetings, and re-accreditation documentation. 2. Maintains a client caseload to provide a minimum of 10 direct clinical hours during the week. Provides rotating counselor-on-duty response for urgent care. 3. Participates in the development of policies and procedures to ensure best clinical practices, applicable state and federal statutes, local health and safety laws and regulations, risk management policies, and professional code of ethics. 4. Coordinates the hiring of clinicians and graduate assistants. 5. Supervises, trains, and consults with clinical professionals engaged in program activities and supervises and coordinates the clinical activities of students. 6. Oversees documentation of cases and ensures new clinicians are trained to meet legal, ethical, and professional standards. 7. Initiates, develops, and maintains relationships with University organizations and local mental health care resources. 8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: Master's degree Degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology or related field
Experience (yrs.): Five years of experience in coordinating and/or providing counseling and psychological services
Substitution for Education: Indicated education is required; no substitutions allowed.
Substitution for Experience: When a candidate has the required education but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in Clinical/Counseling Psychology or related field.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of counseling practices, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) regulations, code of ethics, and Federal and State laws related to the counseling of individuals.
Certification or Licensure Requirements Licensed in the appropriate discipline and eligible for licensure in Mississippi: LCSW, LPC, or Licensed Psychologist. Specialist area is clinical mental health counseling. Must be certified or eligible to be certified as a licensed supervisor in Mississippi.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Knowledge of accreditation and certification requirements and standards. * Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. * Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information. * Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. * Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals. * Ability to supervise, advise, and train clinical professionals and/or students in area of expertise.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
No unusual physical requirements. Requires no heavy lifting, and nearly all work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility.
Externally imposed deadlines; set or revised on short notice; frequent shifts in priority; numerous interruptions requiring immediate attention; unusual pressure on a daily basis due to accountability for success for major projects or areas of operation.
Job frequently requires sitting, talking, and hearing.
Job occasionally requires standing, walking, reaching, stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
