Position Summary: The Mental Health Counseling MA Program seeks to hire a full-time multiple-year contract Clinical Assistant Professor to start in Fall 2021. Candidates in all areas of mental health counseling will be considered. Strong preference will be given to applicants with the ability to contribute to graduate training; program administration; and clinical supervision of graduate students in field placements. Candidates must have a commitment to working in a multicultural setting.
Teach graduate courses in Mental Health Counseling
Supervise graduate students in the field
Serve on university/program committees
Experience & Educational Background:
A doctoral or masters degree in counseling related field
Track record of excellent teaching experience and active training/clinical involvement
Ideally three years of counseling experience
Licensure or license eligibility in New York State as Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
PhD preferred but strong MA level candidates are encouraged to apply
