The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital are seeking a full-time clinical pediatric psychologist to join a multidisciplinary child and adolescent psychiatry department in a nationally ranked, freestanding children’s hospital located on the medical school campus. The position is for a full-time non-tenure eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor.
Responsibilities include working with faculty in the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics to: 1) conduct screenings and evidence-based diagnostic outpatient evaluations of children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other neurodevelopmental disorders; 2) provision of psychological treatment to children and adolescents with ASD or other neurodevelopmental disorders, including behavioral interventions and parent training; 3) teaching in multidisciplinary child health and mental health training programs; 4) research is encouraged.
Qualified candidates are required to have clinical experience with children and adolescents with ASD and research is strongly desired. A PhD in clinical psychology and APA-approved internship are required, at least one of which has a focus on clinical child or pediatric psychology training. Experience in a pediatric medical setting is strongly encouraged.
The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled. Rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Research pilot funding is available. Start date immediate after licensure in Illinois. Applications will be evaluated as received.
