Under general supervision, the Social Work Associate will work in the Adolescent PHP and IOP programs to monitor and manage the patient milieu, providing group therapy and coordinating care with the rest of the team. At the discretion of the supervisor, the Social Work Associate may carry a small caseload (i.e. provide individual and family/couples therapy to patients). Also performs administrative support tasks related to the day-to-day operations of the Adolescent programs, attend weekly trainings and workshops, weekly interdisciplinary team meetings, and participates in the coordination of care with the rest of the treatment team. Other duties as assigned.
Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in psychology, social work, or related field
One (1) year of experience in psychology, social work, or related field.
Provision of services (clinical or research) to individuals with psychiatric diagnoses.
Experience working directly with individuals diagnosed with an eating disorder, OR experience working in an IOP, PHP, residential, or inpatient program.
Training and/or experience in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Thorough working knowledge of the most current DSM categories and differential diagnosis.
Strong knowledge and skill in problem-focused psychotherapeutic approaches.
Proven ability to form constructive working relationships with eating disorder patients.
Ability to provide phone coaching to patients (i.e. be available by phone to assist patients in applying skills to prevent behaviors).
Master's Degree in social work.
Experience in providing meal support to patients.
Experience in providing professional services to individuals with eating disorders. Training and experience in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Experience working directly with patients in a Day Treatment or Residential program.
Experience implementing evidence based treatment including FBT, OCD, CBT, DBT, ERP, etc.
Flexible to work variable hours and locations based on business needs, including Saturdays from 9am - 3:30pm.
