Advertised Job Summary:
Provides a broad range of counseling and psychological services to students, including initial evaluation/assessment, treatment planning, case formulation, referral to appropriate services and treatment within the modalities of individual, couples and group psychotherapy. Provides crisis intervention and management as necessary, as well as triage to unscheduled walk-in students. Assesses client needs and diagnosis, devise and facilitate implementation of treatment planning goals, and evaluates treatment needs. Conducts clinical work and documentation in compliance with departmental, division and University of South Carolina policies and procedures. Participates as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based practice with primary focus on initial diagnostic evaluation, assessment and referral to appropriate level of care. Maintains state license as a mental health professional, as well as SHS credentialing & privileging requirements as defined by SHS at all times. As a University employee, must comply with all applicable policies, procedures and directives to include but not limited to, UofSC, Student Health Services' policies and procedures accreditation guidelines and other state/federal requirements.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Master's degree in a related field and 5 years related experience. Licensed or eligible to obtain a license as a mental health professional in the state of South Carolina.
