Responsibilities:

Organizational Development and Learning is tasked to support the University mission through the development and implementation of policies, programs, and practices that attract, compensate, retain and reward faculty and staff. This position supports the efforts of the Organizational Development and Learning team by providing training and organization development facilitation for faculty and staff, support for program development and delivery.

This position will be responsible for providing training for faculty/staff to include, but not limited to:

• Search committee training, supervisor and employee development, new hire orientations, supervisor boot camp, emerging leaders' supervisor series, and a variety of administrative and professional staff learning opportunities;
• Support career-pathing and succession planning initiatives through development and support of Communities of Practice for Mason faculty and staff;
• Network and build relationships with Mason administrative professionals, HR Liaisons, academic advisors, and other career groups, and gather data through focus groups, surveys, and other tools;
• Collaborate with the Organizational Development and Learning team to identify organizational development needs to develop curricula, materials and courses for faculty and staff learning opportunities. This includes consulting with units that have requested OD services from the team to identify source of request and designing an appropriate OD tool to facilitate and meet their identified OD need. It may also include developing training opportunities and program management;
• Schedule and coordinate logistics for search committee trainings specifically (in coordination with colleagues from the Office of Compliance, Diversity, and Ethics), and other trainings as requested;
• Collaborate with the Organizational Development and Learning team to identify organizational development needs.
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent level of education and experience;
• Knowledge of organization development practices and adult learning theories;
• Comfort with technologies and software to deliver training;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Good time management and strong organizational skills;
• Attention to detail;
• Ability to facilitate delivery of material to diverse audiences.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a higher education setting;
• Experience in providing training, facilitation and classroom management;
• Experience working with learning communities or communities of practice;
• Strong analytical skills to understand customer needs;
• Able to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines;
• Able to build effective internal relationships and networks;
• Experience using Camtasia and/or other video creation and editing software is a plus.

Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
