Job Summary: EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full Time (32 hours/week with the PA Program, minimum of 8 hours/week for Clinical Practice or Research) ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP: Reports to the Director of the PA Program PURPOSE: Full time faculty member who teaches in the physician assistant program, coordinates the Didactic Phase (Professional Year I) of the Program, assesses and analyzes students performance and overall programmatic outcomes for the didactic portion of the program. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.Responsible for the coordination and supervision of the Didactic Phase of the PA Program. 2.Prepares syllabi and learning objectives for all courses in the Didactic Phase of the program. 3.Provides analysis of didactic courses for appropriateness of structure, sequence and content. 4.Schedules didactic courses coordinating the distribution of lecture hours for appropriate sequencing. 5.Responsible as Course Coordinator for workload equivalent of three courses per semester. 6.Prepares and/or reviews exams, collaborating with faculty in test construction and item analysis. 7.Monitors student progress, meets with students, and assures appropriate intervention, when required. 8.Analyzes didactic curriculum outcomes for review at committee meeting and by the Director. 9.Provides analysis of student evaluations of courses and faculty for review at committee meetings and by the Director. 10.Participates in clinical site visits, as assigned. 11.Actively participating in the remediation process of students, when required. 12.Serves as a faculty advisor for PA students. 13.Attends and participates in PA committee meetings, program activities, and campus events. 14.Serves as a Chair of a Committee, developing agenda, preparing minutes and outcome reports. 15.Contributes to ongoing self-study process and formal reports to ARC-PA. 16.Participates as faculty leader in service learning events (Ex: Medical Education/Mission Trips) 17.Attends professional conferences, representing the PA Program and the University. Required Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS: Work Experience: Minimum 5 years teaching and/or clinical experience Education: Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited PA Program Masters degree (MS, MPA, MPH) Doctoral degree (preferred) Certification: NCCPA Certification Licensure: New Jersey State Licensure SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS: 1 day a week dedicated to Clinical Practice or Research Available weekends for Campus Events (e.×.
